Networking

A Networking is a collection of interconnected devices, such as Router, Access Point, and other hardware, that communicate with each other to share resources and information. Networks can be categorized based on their geographic scope and the technologies used for connectivity. 

Router:

A router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer networks. It operates at Layer 3 (Network Layer) of the OSI model and connects multiple networks together. Router use routing tables to determine the best path for forwarding data.

Access Point:

An access point (AP) is a device that allows wireless devices to connect to a wired network using Wi-Fi. It acts as a central transmitter and receiver of wireless radio signals.

Switch:

A switch is a networking device that operates at Layer 2 (Data Link Layer) of the OSI model. It connects devices within a single network and forwards data only to the intended recipient device. Switches use MAC addresses to efficiently direct traffic.

USB Adapters:

USB Adapters (Universal Serial Bus) are devices that enable connectivity by converting a USB port into another type of port, such as Ethernet for network connectivity or Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity.

Network Storage:

Network storage refers to storage devices or systems that are accessible over a computer network. This includes Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices and Storage Area Networks (SANs), which provide centralized storage for data sharing, backup, and collaboration among network users.

Network Security Device:

Networking Security Device are hardware or software tools designed to protect computer networks from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. Examples include firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus gateways, and VPN (Virtual Private Network) appliances. These devices help enforce security policies and safeguard sensitive data within the network.
