Aruba AP-505 R2H25A

Aruba AP-505 R2H25A Unified Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 PoE Wireless Access Point

Affordable Wi-Fi 6 hotspots provide high-performance connectivity for organizations facing increasing mobility, IoT, and mobility requirements. With a true total data rate of 1.49 Gbps (HE80 / HE20), it provides the speed and reliability you need for places and workplaces such as schools, medium-sized offices, and retail stores.

1.49 Gbps maximum actual speed (HE80 / HE20)
WPA3 and Open Enhanced Security
Embedded technology solves difficult customer problems
For Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 5 devices
OFDMA to improve multi-user efficiency
Zigbee support for Bluetooth 5 and IoT

INCREDIBLE EFFICIENCY:

The 500 Series APs are also designed to improve the user experience by improving Wi-Fi efficiency and significantly reducing contention time between clients. Features include Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and cellular optimization. With up to two spatial streams (2SS) and 80 MHz channel bandwidth (HE80), the 500 Series offers advanced wireless capabilities for budget deployments. See the 802.11ax Multitenant White Paper for more information.

Advantages of OFDMA: This feature allows Aruba access points to serve multiple clients that can use Wi-Fi 6 simultaneously on each channel, regardless of device type or traffic. Channel utilization is optimized by processing each transaction with a smaller subcarrier or resource unit (RU). That is, clients share channels and do not compete for broadcast and bandwidth.

Aruba Air Slice™ for Extended Application Assurance: First, controllerless (instantaneous) mode access points can achieve SLA-level performance by allocating radio resources such as time, frequency, and spatial streams of specific traffic.

Wi-Fi 6 aware client optimization: AI-powered Aruba Client Match solves your challenges by placing Wi-Fi 6-enabled devices on the best available access points. Session metrics are used to direct mobile devices to the best access point based on availability.
Bandwidth, application type, and traffic type, even if the user is roaming.

Aruba Advanced Cellular Coexistence (ACC): This feature uses internal filtering to automatically reduce interference from cellular networks, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and commercial or small cell femtocell equipment.

Intelligent Power Monitoring (IPM): Aruba hotspots continuously monitor and report on device power consumption. It can also be configured to enable or disable features based on the available PoE power. This is ideal if the wired switch runs out of power budget.

Green AP energy efficiency: Aruba hotspots continuously monitor and report on device power consumption. It can also be configured to enable or disable features based on the available PoE power. This is ideal if the wired switch runs out of power budget.

WPA3 and Enhanced Open: Stronger encryption and authentication support is provided by the latest version of WPA for secure corporate networks.
Open Enhanced provides strong new protection for users connected to the open network by automatically encrypting each session to protect passwords and user data on the guest network.

WPA2-MPSK: MPSK facilitates access key management for WPA2 devices. If the Wi-Fi password is changed on one device or device type, no additional changes are required on the other device. Clear Pass Policy Manager is required.

VPN Tunnels: For AP (RAP) and IAP-VPN deployments, the Aruba 500 Series can be used to create secure SSL / IPsec VPN tunnels for navigation consoles that act as VPN concentrators.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM): To increase the security of your hardware, all Aruba access points come with a TPM to securely store your credentials, keys, and boot code.

IOT PLATFORM CAPABILITIES:

Like all Aruba Wi-Fi 6 access points, the 500 Series incorporates Bluetooth 5 and 802.15.4 radio (for Zigbee support) to deploy and manage IoT-based location services, asset tracking services, security, and IoT. Simplifies. solution. sensor. This will allow organizations to use the 500 Series as an IoT platform, eliminating the need to replicate infrastructure and additional IT resources.

Target Wake Time (TWT): TWT is ideal for IoT, where data exchange is infrequent. Set a schedule when clients need to communicate with the access point. This helps improve client power savings and reduce broadcast contention with other clients.

ARUBA SECURE INFRASTRUCTURE:

The Aruba 500 Series includes Aruba 360 Secure Fabric components to protect user authentication and wireless traffic.

SIMPLE AND SECURE ACCESS:

To simplify policy enforcement, the Aruba 500 Series uses the Aruba Policy Application Firewall (PEF) feature to enable everything from the access point to the navigation controller (or gateway) for end-to-end encryption and inspection. Encapsulates traffic. Policies are applied based on user role, device type, app, and location. This reduces manual configuration of SSIDs, VLANs, and ACLs. PEF also serves as the underlying technology for Aruba's dynamic segmentation.

HIGH-DENSITY CONNECTIVITY:

Each 500 Series AP provides up to 256 connected clients per radio (512 in total). In a realistic scenario, the maximum density recommended for a customer depends on the environmental conditions.

FLEXIBLE OPERATION AND MANAGEMENT:

A unique feature of Aruba APs is that they operate in both unmanaged (temporary) and console modes.

Controller-less (Instant) mode: In unmanaged mode, one access point acts as a virtual controller for the entire network. Find out more about Instant Mode in this technology feed.

Mobility Controller mode: To improve network performance, roaming, and security, the access point passes all traffic to the navigation console, centrally managing traffic redirection and segmentation, data encryption, and policy enforcement. For more information
Aruba OS specifications.

Management options: Available management solutions include Aruba Central (managed via the cloud) or Aruba AirWave, a multi-vendor on-premises management solution.
For large-scale installations in multiple locations, access points are shipped from the factory and can be activated using zero-touch provisioning via Aruba Central or AirWave. This reduces deployment time, centralizes setup, and
Inventory control.
