A great learning tool that combines simplicity of design and latest interactive technology
The new FX-79E2 is the latest in "dual touch" whiteboard technology from Hitachi. This board is replacing the FX-Trio and is now their flagship interactive whiteboard. There have been several advancements made and most notably, is the new steel surface. Unlike the Trioboard, this surface is dry erase friendly and can withstand the rigors of every day dry-erase ink writing. It is now also magnetic. Additionally, the FX-79E1 is slightly larger, yet due to advancements in materials, Hitachi was able to drop the weight from 66.1 lbs to 48.5 lbs. The board is also roughly half as thin as its predecessor.
Now with USB 2.0 support, this board is powered through the USB cable so you do not have to worry about finding an electrical outlet.
The FX-79E2 interactive whiteboard allows multiple devices to connect to it through USB. The writing surface has also been manufactured with the lowest surface gloss on the market so that images displayed are clear and bright and easy on the eyes. Frequently used function buttons installed on the board makes it very user-friendly.
As with past Hitachi whiteboards, durability remains a key advantage over the competition. There are no circuits inside the board, only on the edge of the board. This means you can literally put bullets through the surface and the board will still work fine, whereas most other boards would be rendered useless once the surface is pierced. This is a huge selling point because accidents do happen. We commonly see boards ruined from moving them carelessly and also malicious students gouging the surface. Of all the products we sell, this is the most durable touch sensitive model. With touch sensitive technology, you do not have to worry about losing or breaking expensive electronic pens that can cost well over $100. In addition, the board does come with a passive stylus (not electronic) for those that feel more comfortable writing with a pen instead of a finger.
Hitachi has also incorporated a faster response time, making for a much better whiteboard experience. The smoother multi-touch support is faster and more fluid than the previous generation Trioboard. This is due to the new Infrared Ray Shading Detection System, the latest technology from the global leader in interactive whiteboards.
Finger-driven interactivity for your classroom or conference room
The StarBoard FX-79E2 is a finger touch sensitive interactive whiteboard that offers flexible collaboration and is a great learning tool which turns every meeting or brainstorming session into a dynamic one. It has an active area surface of 79" which is quite durable and requires additional workspace where group work can comfortably be done on it. FX-79E1 comes with a steel surface and an improved bracket design which makes the board very light in weight and therefore adds to the convenience of mounting it on a wall.
Dual-pen feature
Thanks to the "Dual-Pen" feature, two users can write and work on the whole surface of the board simultaneously.
The Hitachi FX-79E2 with the aid of finger driven features and multi-touch gesture capabilities can now add class notes, sketches, export notes to different file format and import Microsoft office files. In fact post lesson production is a snap as this board will give you direct access to the internet and variety of digital links. You can easily save and distribute a presentation or session by posting to a server or online, emailing or printing. Hitachi FX-79E2 supports Remote Conferencing feature that would turn every lesson and conference into a dynamic one with practical features that would make teaching and business activities more efficient.
